Day 1: Puno-Amantani Island, Peru
Kayak from Puno to the Uros Floating Islands & Amantani Homestay (L/D)
You'll be picked up at your hostel between 7:00-8:00am. Meet your guide at Lake Titicaca for safety briefing and paddling tips. Kayak through Titicaca National Reserve, possibly spotting lake wildlife. Arrive at Uros floating islands for 1-hour kayaking and exploration. Visit two of the 50+ islands. Learn about locals on the first island, explore, take photos, and support with souvenirs.
Then, a 3-hour boat ride takes you to Amantani Island. Lunch with a local family, optional sunset hike (4,150m). Enjoy stunning views of Lake Titicaca and Cordillera Real. Evening brings a local party and optional traditional clothing and dance. Experience a lively blend of locals and foreigners laughing and dancing together.

Day 2: Amantani Island-Puno, Peru
Taquile Island & Return to Puno (B)
The next day you will have an early breakfast before saying goodbye to your family and heading over to the neighbouring Taquile Island (1-hour boat ride). The people who live on this island are very famous because they are considered “the best weavers of Peru”. There, you will go on a beautiful hike to enjoy the views of the lake. During this hike you will stop to visit the town square of Taquile and visit the handicraft shops to see the typical weaving. The square is also the highest point of the hike (3,950m or 12,960 feet). After enjoying some free time around the square, you will enjoy a typical lunch (not included). Then you will finish the hike going to the second port of the island, where you will take the motorboat back to Puno where your tour will come to an end at 3:30pm approximately.
