Samburu National Park - Abardares National Park
Today after breakfast you will depart for The Aberdares National Park, an area of 767 Km2 covers the higher areas of the Aberdare Mountain Ranges of Central Kenya, from altitude of 1829M to 4001M above sea level. The topography is quite diverse with deep ravines that cut through the forested eastern and western slopes. Animals easily observed in the park include; the Black Rhino, leopard, baboon, black and white Colobus monkey and sykes monkey. Rarer sightings include those of lions, the golden cat and the bongo- an elusive forest antelope that lives in the bamboo forest. Animals like the eland and spotted and melanistic serval cats can be found higher up in the moorlands. Proceed for lunch followed by drive back to Nairobi for your flight back home. After breakfast, you will depart from the lodge and exit the park and be driven to the naturally heated spa pool; Lake Bogoria, which is also an alkaline lake and home to flamingos and hot springs / geysers which emit hot vapor from the core of the earth. After a hearty breakfast depart for L. Take an extensive full day game drive into the reserve covered with rolling grasslands dotted with acacia and hazy forested hills and riverline bush where the Mara River and its tributaries meander, Maasai Mara is considered by many to be Kenya's finest game reserve, the 1510 sq Kms of this reserve adjoin Tanzania's well-known Serengeti, forming one eco- system. Today after breakfast you will depart for Nairobi and proceeding for early dinner at the Nairobi Carnivore before airport transfer for your flight back home.
