Welcome and assistance from our local representative upon arrival. Transfer to the hotel.

Day 2

place Visit pyramids

Breakfast at the hotel. Then visit the plateau Guizèh. Visit the site of the pyramids: Kheops, the biggest of the three, Khephren, and Mykérinos much smaller than its two sisters, keeping at its base, its original coating. On its sides stands the impressive sphinx with the head of a man (57 m long) whose role was to defend the entrance of the tomb against the pillagers. Lunch in a typical restaurant. Then departure for the visit of the capital of the Ancient Egyptian Empire, Memphis to the south of Cairo. The city was founded by King Menes around 3000 BC and placed under the protection of the god Ptah, the patron of the Artisans. Then visit of the pyramid of Sakkara was built around -2700 for the pharaoh Djoser by the architect Imhotep.

place Explore the surroundings of Cairo

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for the visit of the citadel of Saladin which is a great fortress, built between 1176 and 1183 on the heights of the current capital of Egypt, Cairo. It was built by Saladin, the founder of the Ayyubid dynasty. Lunch in town, then departure for the visit of the famous National Museum founded in 1857 by the French Egyptologist Auguste Mariette Pacha and transferred in 1902 in the current building Walk in the souk of Khan El Khalili with narrow alleys and where one can To procure objects of copper, marquetries, blown glass, carpets and other objects directly inspired by the pharaonic period. Breakfast at the hotel. Departure by private car to Alexandria (200km). Stop en route to visit a Coptic Monastery in Wadi El Natroun. Continuation to Alexandria. Upon arrival, fish lunch. Visit Fort Quait Bay. Visit of the Catacombs which make up the largest Roman funerary site of Egypt and the most important archaeological site of Alexandria.Promenade in the Montazah Palace Garden, which was the seaside resort of the Royal family. Return to Cairo.

place Sightseeing day in Cairo

Breakfast at the hotel, departure for the visit of the mosque Ibn Touloun and the famous mosque of el Azhar, Lunch in a typical restaurant. Then visit the palace of Mohamed Ali, reflecting the settings and lifestyle of the late 19th- and early 20th-century Egyptian royal prince and heir apparent. The residence compound, composed of five separate and distinctively styled buildings, is surrounded by Persians gardens. Then we go a relaxing Felucca ride on the Nile is a traditional wooden sailing boat used in protected waters of the Red Sea and eastern Mediterranean, in Egypt and Sudan (particularly along the Nile)
