Itinerary

Day 1
Day 1: Arequipa - Yanque, Peru
We will head towards the town of Chivay, stopping along the northern highway at Pampa Cañahuas (Salinas and Aguada Blanca National Reserve, vicuña reserve), Tocrapampa (lagoon area, wetlands, herds of alpacas and llamas), and Patapampa high point (Andes lookout, 4900 m.a.s.l.). Upon arrival in Chivay, you will have time for lunch (on your own) before we take you to your hotel in either Yanque or Chivay. After settling in, at 3:00 PM, we will begin an optional walking tour (previous coordination required) through the countryside, visiting hanging tombs, terraces, pre-Inca and Inca ruins such as Uyo Uyo, and observing locals engaged in agricultural activities. We will end the tour with a visit to the natural and rejuvenating thermal baths with temperatures between 30 to 35 degrees Celsius. The entire walk will be guided by a local Spanish-speaking guide. We will return to the town on foot.
Day 2
Day 2: Yanque - Puno, Peru
After breakfast, we will head to the Condor Cross Viewpoint to enjoy a spectacular view of the condors in flight and the depth of the Colca Canyon, where we will spend over an hour. On the way back, we will pass through traditional towns such as Maca and Yanque, as well as other tourist viewpoints. Returning to Chivay, you will have free time for lunch.
In the afternoon, we will depart for the city of Puno, making stops at tourist spots such as Patapampa and Lagunillas along the route. The journey will take approximately six hours, with our arrival in Puno (Lake Titicaca) expected in the early evening. The tour concludes at the plaza in Puno or at a location near your hotel.
