Costa Rica Airport Pick-up


Welcome to Costa Rica! Upon arrival, one of our representatives will be ready to greet you at the airport and pass you all the information you need to start your adventure. You'll be transferred to your hotel and the rest of your day will be yours to spend at your leisure - why not visit the nearby Central Market, the outskirts of the National Theatre and the La Plaza de La Cultura?

Day 2

place Day 2: San Jose - Tortuguero National Park, Costa Rica

Tortuguero National Park (B/L/D)

Rise and shine! We'll be driving you down to Guapiles, a city based in Costa Rica's banana growing region. Here, you'll enjoy a tasty traditional breakfast. From there, you'll continue to a dock and hop on a boat that will take you to your lodge. During the boat ride, your guide will point out birds and animals and fill you in on the rich natural history of the area. Enjoy a lunch at your lodge and get ready for your guided boat tour in the afternoon.

Day 3

Walk in Tortuguero National Park (B/L/D)

Wake up to the sounds of nature and enjoy an early breakfast. Afterwards, you'll depart by boat to the lodge's private trail to enjoy a guided walk through the lush tropical rainforest. Keep your eyes peeled for the local residents of monkeys, slots or toucans, to just name a few! You'll return to your lodge for lunch and in the afternoon, you will visit the town of Tortuguero. Tonight's dinner will be at the lodge.

Day 4

place Day 4: Tortuguero National Park - La Fortuna, Costa Rica

Visit to Arenal Volcano (B/L)


After breakfast, you'll climb onboard the shared shuttle to make your way towards La Fortuna, a charming village at the foot of the world-famous Arenal Volcano. You'll have plenty of time during the next few days to discover the Arenal area and Arenal Volcano as well as to spot wild animals!

Day 5

Explore the Volcano and Hot Springs (B/L/D)

Rise and shine! Today, you'll have more free time in the morning to explore La Fortuna at your own pace. In the afternoon, your local bilingual guide will again meet you at the hotel lobby and take you to the Arenal Volcano National Park. You'll explore the old lava flow of 1968 and learn about the rainforest flora and fauna from a local expert. After the volcano hike, your next stop is be the relaxing hot springs! Enjoy a delicious cocktail surrounded by tropical gardens, then go to the restaurant to have your buffet dinner. After all the adventure, you must be hungry!

Day 6

place Day 6: La Fortuna - Monteverde

Transfer to Monteverde (B)

Once breakfast is finished, the adventure continues with a journey to Santa Elena. Here, you can marvel at the magnificent ecosystem of the evergreen cloud forest, which is the natural habitat of the quetzal bird. This area is also the paradise where a group of Quakers decided to make Costa Rica their new home nearly 80 years ago.


Your travel route will take you by land to Lake Arenal, which you will cross by boat. The lake is an artificial reservoir that was created after the construction of a dam in 1979. The project was designed to take advantage of the existence of a small lake with the same name. Lake Arenal is a crucial element in Costa Rica's ambitious hydroelectric power generation project and currently produces electricity for a significant portion of the country.


Finally, you will take the road back to Santa Elena, and the scenery en route will be spectacular. Keep your eyes open for a family of coatis that may be lurking along the roadside./p>

Day 7

place Day 7: Monteverde - San Jose, Costa Rica

Explore Monteverde and Back to San Jose (B)

Today will be an action-packed one! After breakfast at your accommodation, you'll be met by a local guide at the lobby and he will drive you to your next adventure, zip-lining through the cloud forest itself! This forest reserve is name for its foggy, low-hanging clouds that hover around the upper canopy of the forest before condensing onto the trees and layers below. Fly through this lush paradise and get your heart pumping with the high-speed cables of Monteverde. When you've had your fill of adrenaline, your shared shuttle will meet you at the hotel lobby to return you to San Jose.

Day 8

Transfer to Airport (B)

All good things must come to an end! We'll transfer you by shuttle from the hotel to the airport, depending on the time on your flight out. We wish you safe travels!
