Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer for Madhu River boat safari. Madhu River boat safari:- In the Southern region of Sri Lanka lies the Galle district. Balapitiya is a little town in the district and would be quite unimportant; except for the location of a river. The Madhu River is very rich in bio diversity. It passes through the wet zone of Sri Lanka opening into the large Madhu Lagoon on its way to the Indian Ocean. The Turtle Hatchery Kosgoda: Sea Turtle Conservation Project was established to protect the Sri Lankan turtle from extinction. Kosgoda is a prime turtle nesting site and the project engages the local fishing community in its efforts to conserve turtles by monitoring their activity and conserving nesting sites. Turtle hatcheries are good for the environment, save lives, and incredibly fun. There are a few lovely ones down the coast, especially in and around the Kosgoda area. Overnight stay at Hotel.

Almost overnight, skyscrapers arise from where old buildings once stood. Yet in some parts, the Old World charm is retained. As an example, there is a 100 year old clock tower and several British built colonial buildings. Other places of interest are the Pettah bazaar where one can shop for bargains, the old Parliament in Fort, a Hindu and a Buddhist temple, residential areas where you find the stately homes of the affluent and the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall - BMICH, an outright gift to Sri Lanka.
