A day to rest after a long journey is always a good option. You can enjoy the pool of the hotel and discover the surroundings by foot with easy access to the city. Recommended activities: Monkey Forest Ubud Campuhan ridge walk Main market of Ubud Galleries and Museums Butterfly Park

Ubud and its surroundings
Today, you will be discovering the North of Ubud and its spiritual villages. Journey to the spiritual village of Tampaksiring home to Gunung Kawi and Tirta Empul water source. Tibumana Waterfall It is one of the most beautiful hidden waterfalls near Ubud. Luckily our driver knows its location. Goa Gajah Cave A sacred site that was built in the 9th century and classified by UNESCO as a cultural heritage. Gunung Kawi One of Bali’s most unique archaeological sites with a collection of ancient shrine reliefs carved in the rock overlooking the valley of Pakrisan. Tirta Empul springs Tirta Empul means Holy Spring in balinese. The temple compound consists of a bathing structure where Balinese Hindus go for ritual purification. Tegalalang rice fields Located in the small village of Ceking, Tegalalang rice fields are located in a valley and will amaze you with its magnificent views.

Sunrise atop Mount Batur
Early departure (2:30am) with your driver and head to the village of Kintamani located at the foot of Mount Batur. Meet your local guide and start your walk to the summit (2h to 3h walk). Once at the top, watch the sunrise over the sleeping island of Bali offering unmatched views,. This experience is a visual treat like none other. After sunrise, stick around for a quick snack atop Mount Batur cooked by your guide using the active volcano’s steam! Walk back down and enjoy a tasting local breakfast overlooking lake Batur. Drive back to Ubud and rest of the day at leisure.

Jungle Jeep Adventures to the West
Departure from your hotel at 7:30 am with our local partner. You will head to the west side of Bali aboard a 4WD Jungle Jeep for off-road fun! You will start the day by visiting the UNESCO site of Jatiluwih rice terrace: the famous picturesque rice paddies in Tabanan Regency where you can learn about rice fields and the Subak irrigation system. Continue onto Angseri hot springs for a delightful stop in the hot water of the natural spring heated by the magma of nearby Batukaru mountain. On the way to Bedugul Regency, you will stop at the Twin Lakes viewpoint over Buyan and Tamblingan lakes, and visit the famous Bedugul Ulun Danu Temple which seems to be floating in the middle of Bratan lake. A local Indonesian food lunch and a coffee break in the jungle are included. Your driver will follow you with your luggage and take you to Munduk after the day on the Jeep.

In the heart of the tropical forest of Munduk
You will spend the day in the wilderness around Munduk Tropical Forest: through waterfalls, small villages, rice fields and crater lakes. You will meet with your local guide and depart for a walk through the forest that allows you to discover extraordinary vegetation and medicinal plants. Discover one of the three waterfalls lost in this magnificent region. You will descend to Lake Tamblingan and, depending on the weather, you can cross the lake by traditional canoe. After your trekking, you will head to the fishermen’s village of Pemuteran, located on the north coast, close to Bali Barat National Park.

Snorkeling trip to Menjangan Island
After your breakfast, your driver will drive you to the harbour of Labuan Lalang where your local captain awaits. Registration, sustainability briefing and hop on your boat to start your navigation in the heart of Bali Barat Park to reach the island of Menjangan. You will enjoy unforgettable snorkelling sessions and a local picnic lunch on board or on the beach (depending on the tide). Bali Barat national park and the island of Menjangan are a true paradise for under-water worlds lovers. Back to your hotel and afternoon at leisure to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the national park of Bali Barat.

Crossing to Java
You can enjoy the morning by the hotel beach. Then you will drive to Gilimanuk harbor to cross to Java by ferry (around 1 hour). Arriving in Java, your driver will take you to your hotel located a few kilometers away. Enjoy your free afternoon to relax before the hike, and early sleep to rest well!

Hiking Kawah Ijen Volcano!
Short night as you will be departing at around 2am by 4WD for a 30min off road drive through the jungle and reaching the starting point of your climb toward the summit of Mount Ijen. Once at the top, your local guide will ask you to put your gas mask on to protect your lungs from the sulphuric gas and will choose a nice little viewing spot to watch the sunrise. You’ll enjoy a coffee whilst watching the sunrise and miners descending into the crater and re-emerging carrying up to 80 kilos of sulphur along the treacherous path. Walk down and drive back to your hotel where a well-deserved breakfast awaits. Enjoy your hotel facilities or rest in your room until noon. Last moments with your Javanese driver who will drive you to the harbour of Ketapang to take the ferry and reach the island of Bali.

East of Bali, water palaces and temples
You will leave Lovina to drive from the north to the south coast of Bali, via Kintamani, Karangasem and Amlapura regencies. On the way you can stop by Besakih Temple, known as the “Mother Temple of Bali”. This temple is located on the western slopes of Mt. Agung, Bali's highest volcano (2567 m) and is the largest and most important temple on the island. After your visit, head to the Palace of Tirtagangga. Meaning "Water of the Ganges", this sacred water palace was built in the early twentieth century by the last king of Karangasem. You can also stop at Taman Ujung Water Palace. This former palace in Karangasem regency was built by the King of Karangasem, I Gusti bagus Jelantik, in 1909. The palace has three large pools and in the middle of the pool, there is the main building named Gili Bale, connected to the edge of the pool by bridge. You will stop for the night in Candidasa, a little village on the south-east coast.

To the south peninsula of Bali
You will leave the quiet town of Candidasa to drive toward the south peninsula of Bali, called Bukit. On your way to Bukit, you will stop at the small village of Kusamba, notable for its traditional salt farms that date back almost a thousand years. The salt farms are run by the local villagers who also make their living from fishing. On clear mornings, you will usually be able to catch a glimpse of the local fishermen going about their daily routines, preparing their nets and working together to haul their wooden ‘jukung’ outriggers out to sea. Meanwhile, other locals will usually be busy harvesting salt at plots nearby.
