In the morning we meet the guide and start a tour of the capital. As an ancient city with a rich history, Yerevan never fails to win the hearts of travelers. A large number of architectural and historical monuments, museums and exhibition centers make Yerevan a real paradise for all those who enjoy excursions and walks in picturesque places. We visit the best of the capital: Mother Armenia, Republic Square, The Cascade, Opera House, Abovyan avenue etc. Republic Square, built of Armenian tuff and designed in neoclassical style in the second decade of the twentieth century, The Armenian Mother monument which is a female personification of Armenia with panoramic views of the city. We continue our excursion to visit the Cascade, one of the most emblematic buildings of Yerevan and a very unique example of art deco and Soviet monumental architecture. Since 2009 the Cascade has been home to The Center of Modern Art, named after its founder Gerard L. Gafesjian. In the immediate vicinity of the center and in the same building there are numerous works by international artists such as Fernando Botero; Jaume Plensa; François-Xavier Lalanne; Peter Woytuk; Barry Flanagan; David Breuer-Weil; Maylee Christie and many others. Then visit Matenadaran - the ancient manuscript museum and research institute. It is one of the richest repositories of medieval manuscripts and books in the world covering a wide variety of subjects, including medicine, history, philosophy, art history, literature, and cosmography. Breakfast at the hotel and departure to Lake Sevan, freshwater, located 1900 meters above sea level and with an approximate area of 1200 square kilometers, is considered the second largest alpine lake in the world. We will go up to the Sevanavank Monastery (IX century), located on a small peninsula (once an island), from which the lake is enjoyed in all its grandeur, there we will visit two churches that make up this popular monastery.Heading towards the region of Kotayk. The first stop would be the village of Garni, where is the best known work of pre-Christian Armenia, the temple of Garni. It is an Ionic temple built in the 1st century AD by the Armenian king Tiridates I as a temple to the sun god Mithras. Lunch at a local restaurant where we will participate in making Armenian lavash bread. In 2014, "lavash, the preparation, meaning and appearance of traditional bread as an expression of Armenian culture" was inscribed on the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. After lunch we will organize a descent to the Azat river canyon in 4X4 cars. This is one of the most beautiful natural sites in the country: where the Goght River flows into the Azat, a huge natural cirque has formed, lined with cliffs and basaltic columns.Continue to the 13th century Geghard Monastery, located in the picturesque valley of the Azat River, considered one of the most impressive places in Armenia from a cultural and spiritual point of view. It is a unique architectural construction, partially carved into the adjacent mountain and surrounded by cliffs, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its importance is even much earlier than the incorporation of Christianity in Armenia, as it is known that pagan rituals were performed at the spring that springs from this place. Return to Yerevan. Yerevan/ Gyumri by private train/ Saghmosavank monastery/ Yerevan
Breakfast at the hotel. Depart for Armenia's second largest city - Gyumri by private train for the group only. Gyumri railway junction is the oldest and the largest railway junction in Armenia. It was formed in 1897 and the first rail link to Alexandropol connecting the city with Tiflis was completed in 1899. The railway line was then extended from Alexandropol to Yerevan (in 1902), Kars (in 1902), Jolfa (in 1906), and Tabriz. As a result, Alexandropol became an important railway center. Gyumri is the second largest city in the country and is considered to be one of the cultural centers of Armenia. Gyumri is a historical city, a city of music, humor, science, a city with a rich theatrical past and present, a city of writers, artists, singers and sportsmen. During the period of the Russian tsars it was Alexandropol and during the Soviet period Leninakan. A city tour of the ancient city of Gyumri, Places to visit: An excursion to the Black Fortress which is an ancient building used as an army fortress of the Russian Empire. Built between the years 1828 and 1829 which was instrumental in the war between Russians and Turks during that period, today this impressive fortress is considered as a cultural heritage of Armenia. Vardanants Square where the Cathedral of the Holy Mother of God also known as Our Lady of the Seven Wounds is located. Unlike other Armenian churches, the altar of the Holy Mother of God is unique for its multi-iconic decoration and was the only church except for the Echmiadzin Cathedral that remained active during the Soviet years. Lunch in Gyumri. After lunch we continue to the Aragatsotsn region to visit one of the most emblematic complexes of medieval Armenia - Saghmosavank Monastic Complex (Monastery of Psalms). Saghmosavank Monastic Complex located on the edge of the deep canyon of the Kasagh River (Monastery of Psalms). The main church of the St. Sion complex was built in 1215 by order of Prince Vaché Vachutián.

Yerevan/ Khor Virap Monastery/Noravank/Yerevan
Breakfast and departure to one of the most important pilgrimage sites in the country: the Khor Virap Monastery (IV to XVII centuries), a sacred place for the Armenian Apostolic Church and cradle of Armenian Christianity, because St. Gregory "the Illuminator" was imprisoned there for thirteen years. It is 60 km from Yerevan, located in an impressive scenic setting, on a hill and having as a backdrop the impressive Mount Ararat. We will continue to the region of Vayots Dzor, to enter the valley of the Arpa River, a rocky gorge difficult to access that hides an architectural treasure, the Noravank Monastery, religious and cultural center during the thirteenth century, considered one of the most beautiful medieval monuments of Armenia. . Lunch in a restaurant next to the monastery. After lunch visit to Areni 1 cave, to see the oldest wine cellar in the world 6100 years old. Return to Yerevan. Free afternoon. Overnight.

Yerevan/ Quba Mere /St. Hripsime/ Echmiadzin/ Zvartnots Temple/ Brandy Factory / Yerevan
After breakfast we start our journey to the Armavír region, the most populated and intensively cultivated region of the country. The first stop would be the church of St. Hripsime, which dates from the seventh century and is considered one of the seven wonders of Armenia (World Heritage by UNESCO). We then continued on to the village of Aknalich, where the world's largest Yazidi temple, Quba Mere Diwan, 25 meters high and with seven domes with sun signs representing the seven angels venerated by the Yazidis, was erected in 2019. We continue to the city of Echmiadzin - the holy city of Armenia, and the seat and official residence of the Catholicos of All Armenians, the supreme patriarch of the Armenian Apostolic Church. Echmiadzin Cathedral is the oldest Christian church in the world. Construction began in 301, in the same year that Armenia adopted Christianity as its official religion.. This day we have the opportunity to have lunch in an authentic 19th century refectory within the territory of the Echmiadzin Cathedral (UNESCO World Heritage Site). This is a one-of-a-kind restaurant with authentic Armenian cuisine that has been receiving guests since the 17th century. It is located near the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin: it is one of the most significant and impressive pieces of Armenian urban architecture. The building is protected by UNESCO and is one of the oldest restaurants in the Caucasus region. A photo stop to contemplate one of the most precious jewels of Armenian medieval architecture, the magnificent Zvartnots Temple (The Temple of Heavenly Angels) built in the 7th century.Here a special reception awaits the group - 12 women dressed in traditional costumes corresponding to the 12 ancient capitals of Armenia will greet the group and lead them to the monument. To end the day we will visit the famous Armenian brandy factory and tasting of the tasting of the best types.
