Day 1

place Arrival to Rio de Janeiro - Transfer to Ilha Grande

Few places can match the unspoilt beauty of Brazil’s Costa Verde, a stunning area of virgin rainforests, impossibly clear waters and towering mountains, all just a couple of hours’ drive from the buzz of Rio. Within this paradise lies Ilha Grande, a very well-protected and preserved national park, where dense jungle and white beaches are the order of the day, surrounded by seas so appealing and jungle so alive, that the whole region was named after them (‘The Green Coast’). Here, in this Garden of Eden, where vehicles are nowhere to be seen, we’ll feel a deep connection with nature as we enjoy the various hiking trails that find their way around the immaculate island, reaching refreshing waterfalls and dreamy beaches; the perfect spot to cool off and soak in the pure beauty of this natural haven. Ilha Grande Located south of Rio de Janeiro, the Green Coast has a unique combination of mountains, tropical rainforest, crystal-clear lagoons and virgin tropical islands. A perfect example is the magnificent island called Ilha Grande, a National Park with totally well protected natural beaches that descend into the emerald green waters giving the coast its name. The island of Ilha Grande, with its 130 km of coast and rugged surroundings, contains 34 small peninsulas and 106 beaches with diverse characteristics. Furthermore, there is a large quantity of ecological hikes to view this paradise from different perspectives.

Day 2

place Ilha Grande

Departure to Pouso Beach at Enseada de Palmas walking. From this beach we go through a trail (15/20 minutes) towards Lopes Mendes beach which, undoubtedly, is one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. With its fine white sands and crystal clear waters, the beach captivates all visitors. This beach receives waves that appeal to swimmers as well as experienced surfers. It is 2.4 kilometers long and at the end it has a beautiful and clean stream, as well as a charming chapel and a mosaic by Silvio Cavalheiro on an old ship barrel. We then return to Pouso beach to catch our taxi boat back to Vila do Abraão.
