Welcome to Costa Rica!
Upon arrival, our representative will greet you at the airport and hand you your travel information. Afterwards he takes you to your hotel. From there, you can visit the Central Market, the outskirts of the National Theater and La Plaza de La Cultura.

Day 2

place Day 2: San Jose - Tortuguero, Costa Rica

Tortuguero National Park (B/L/D)

In the morning, your transfer will pick you up in your hotel and the journey goes to Guapiles, where you enjoy a traditional breakfast. During this commute you will find works on the road that may cause your travel times to extend. From there the trip continues to a dock, where you change to a boat that takes you to your lodge. During the boat trip your guide will point out birds and animals and will explain the natural history of the area. After arriving at your lodge lunch will be served.In the afternoon, you will join a guided boat tour.

Day 3

Boat Tour in Tortuguero National Park (B/L/D)

At 08:00am, breakfast is served, and afterwards you will depart by boat to the private trail of the lodge to enjoy a guided walk in the tropical rainforest, where, with some luck you might spot monkeys, slots or toucans, to just name a few of the animals seen here frequently! Return to your lodge for lunch and in the afternoon, you will visit the town of Tortuguero. Dinner at the lodge.

Day 4

Arenal Volcano (B/L)

Today after breakfast, you will check-out and leave Tortuguero by boat back to La Pavona dock. From there, you will be heading back to a restaurant to enjoy lunch and there, shuttle transportation will be taking you to La Fortuna: usually known simply as La Fortuna, the village of La Fortuna de San Carlos is the entrance to the magnificent Arenal Volcano. La Fortuna, a charming and quiet village offers spectacular scenery of the Arenal, the most beautiful volcanoes in Costa Rica. Relax during the evening and enjoy the sunset with views of the volcano.

Day 5

Time to Explore the Volcano and Hot Springs (B/L/D)

You will walk through primary forest and solidified lava that reminds us of the change in natural landscapes after volcanic eruption. From the El Silencio viewpoint, you will have extraordinary views of Lake Arenal and the lava flows from the 1968 eruption. You will be able to refresh the morning in the crystal clear waters of the Fortuna River Waterfall and finish the day appreciating the forest canopy from the Hanging Bridges, with breathtaking views of the northern plains. In the evening, you can relax in the hot springs and at the end of the day, enjoy a delicious dinner at the local restaurant.

Day 6

place Day 6: La Fortuna - Monteverde, Costa Rica

Transfer to Monteverde (B)

After breakfast the adventure continues. You will head to Santa Elena, where you can enjoy the wonderful ecosystem of the evergreen cloud forest, natural habitat of the quetzal and paradise where almost 80 years ago a group of Quakers decided to make our country their new home. The route will take you by land to Lake Arenal, which you will cross by boat. This is an artificial reservoir formed after the construction of a dam in 1979 taking advantage of the existence of a small lake of the same name. It is the key point on which is based the ambitious project of hydroelectric power generation in Costa Rica and currently produces electricity for a big part of the country.


Then you will take the road back to Santa Elena, the scenery will be spectacular and you may encounter a family of coatis lurking along the roadside.

Time to Explore Monteverde and Back to San José (B)

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel, then the local guide will meet you at the hotel lobby and he will drive you to the next adventure,- ziplining in the cloud forest!! Get ready to experience a high dose of adrenaline with the high-speed cables of Monteverde. In the afternoon at 14h00 your shared shuttle will meet you at the hotel lobby to return to San Jose.

Off to Santa Teresa (B)

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. Today you are going to continue your Costa Rican adventure towards Santa Teresa. Sitting on the western edge of the Nicoya Peninsula, Santa Teresa is a small beach town that attracts a lot of surfers and yogis In recent years, this quiet city has become a booming tourist destination for surfers and yoga lovers Despite its size, Santa Teresa has been hailed as a world class surfer in Costa Rica - with beautiful white sand beaches and waves that put a smile on the faces of surfers all year round. Don't forget your mat, go to the beach and choose a nice spot to enjoy your favourite yoga routine.

Enjoying Santa Teresa (B)

Before breakfast we highly recommend you to go to the beach and start your yoga practice, also you can practice at your hotel lodge, but as you are in the most beautiful beach of Costa Rica we believe your practice will be better at the beach. Santa Teresa offers a variety of things to do. Many of the visitors enjoy horseback riding, hiking and canopy tours. This town could not be better to spend some relaxing couple time on its cozy beaches. However, if you are looking for adventure, be sure to take a day trip to the Cabo Blanco Nature Reserve, 5 kilometers away. As the first protected area in the country, this park covers 1,270 hectares of mixed forest with 150 species of birds, such as brown pelicans, reidoras gulls, osprey eagles and brown boobies. In fact, this end of the peninsula is an important sanctuary for seabirds. You will also find forest trails and the stunning sea views that await your visit. To explore the beaches and villages , you can rent a bike or an off-road vehicle in the city. Mal Pais, another ideal place to surf, is less than 3 kilometers away. If you want a change in surfing, this small coastal community is perfect for both beginners and experienced surfers.

Spend another free day in the beautiful Santa Marta region. Relax on the beach, explore the area, go surfing, or try out some adventure activities.

place Day 11: Santa Teresa - Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica

Head to Manuel Antonio (B)

Today after breakfast you will continue your way to Manuel Antonio on a shared boat shuttle. You will cross the Nicoya’s Gulf towards Jaco beach in the central pacific, where your shuttle bus will be waiting for you to take you to Manuel Antonio. Once arrived, you can head and visit Manuel Antonio Beach or for a more private display, head for Biesanz Bay to watch the sunset.

Day 12

Free Day in Manuel Antonio (B)

Today is yours to do as you please. Pick from an assortment of activities: visiting Manuel Antonio National Park, ocean kayaking, snorkelling, horseback riding, white water rafting, catamaran, or exploring mangroves by kayak.

Back to San José (B)
