Continue through Agra by car, En-route we will visit Itimad-Ud-Daula. Itmad-ud-Daulah is the tomb of Mirza Ghyas Beg, a Persian who had obtained service in the court of Akbar. The tomb of Marvel was made by the queen of Emperor Jehangir, Noorjahan, for his father Mirza Ghyas Beg during 1622-1628 AD. C. The craftsmanship in Itmad-ud-Daulah prefigures that of the Taj Mahal. It was here that "Pietra Dura", the work of incrustation in marble, so characteristic of the Taj, was used for the first time. In the morning we will proceed to visit Sikandra. Akbar began to build his own mausoleum, near Agra, which was to be a perfect combination of designs and Hindu, Christian, Islamic, Buddhist and Jain motifs, which spoke of his religious tolerance and secular views. However, he could not complete it and he died. Thus, his son Jehangir completed his tomb, popularly known as Sikandra by Sikandar Lodi, who established the community where the Tomb of Akbar is located. However, Jehangir made several alterations in the original plan, in accordance with the development of Mughal art and architecture. The tomb has three-storey red sandstone minarets that display wonderful marble works in the four corners of the building. The 'Langurs', black-faced monkeys, have found a safe haven in the beautiful gardens that surround the mausoleum and often also go to the trails.
