Day 1
Phoenix to Williams.
Get picked up from the Phoenix-Scottsdale area, and head North through the Sonoran Desert. Travel the outskirts of Flagstaff on your way to Williams. Check into the Grand Canyon Railway Hotel in the late morning, and spend the rest of the day exploring Williams. Check out the Railway Depot, the Native Pueblo Gallery, choose to go on a horseback ride, or visit Bearizona, a drive-through wildlife park.

Day 2
Railroad Tour, the Grand Canyon & Return to Phoenix.
Get up early and depart from the train depot in the mid-morning. Ride the train through Coconino National Forest before arriving at Grand Canyon National Park. Stand on the South Rim and admire the magnificent views that open before you. Meet your guide around 1:45 PM, and continue to explore the South Rim. Embark on a driving tour to discover the best views on a 30-mile (48-km) section winding along the rim. We make a brief stop in Flagstaff on the return to Phoenix, to stretch our legs and get a bite to eat.
