We recommend you start this journey around 8:30-:09:00 am and travel to the south of the island. First, you could stop at the city of Chonchi, known as the "City of Three-floors" due to its different levels where the World Heritage Church stands out, the Museum of Traditions, the waterfront and crafts market, and then continue to the town of Huillinco where you will see a cemetery of houses very characteristic of Chiloe. You will arrive at Chiloé’s National Park and start at the Visitor Center, an attractive walk along the path of "The Tepual" where you can see the typical forest of Chiloe. During the afternoon, return to your hotel. Dinner & Overnight @ Hotel Parque Quilquico Important: please wear clothes that are suitable for rain, because the weather is constantly changes at any time of the year. Stores in rural areas are open all day, but they close between 1:00 and 3:00pm. Breakfast at the hotel. The Tantauco Park is located in the territory farthest from the island of Chiloé to the limit of Chilean Patagonia, in the South of the world. We recommend you to start this journey around 8:00 am and travel to the south of the island. Then, 20 km before Quellón, you must take a secondary road to get to the Yaldad, the main park entrance which is accessible via 18km of dirt road from the main Ruta 5. Here one can hike several short trails, or drive another 20km to the offices in Chaiguata, which also host a number of short trails. You can do a 30-minute walk along the "Siempreverde" trail (low level) and then continue to the sector of Chaiguata, a place that is characterized by forests of Tepu and where highlights the imposing Cypress of the Guaitecas.
