Day 1

place Transfer In Guatemala City – Domestic Flight Flores – Tikal

After arriving at Guatemala international airport, you will connect for a local flight to Mundo Maya airport. An English-speaking guide will be waiting for you to take you to Tikal, the most spectacular Maya site of the region. Your hotel is a lodge located a couple of steps from the Maya temples.

Day 2

Breakfast at the hotel. During the walk within Tikal, you will see some of the most beautiful trees in the world, and more than 300 species of birds, monkeys, jaguars, and other animals. This magnificent site was listed by UNESCO as Cultural and Natural Heritage of Humanity and is a testimony to the greatness and significance of the Mayan Civilization. With more than 576 square km is considered the largest archaeologically excavated site on the American continent. Back to the hotel for lunch (included). Time to rest at the lodge.

Day 3

place Tikal Sunrise – Yaxha – Peten Itzae Lake

Early wake up for this incredible journey. You will walk in the jungle at dawn to reach the Temple IV where you will be able to listen the first sounds of the jungle wildlife and to observe the sunrise. Snack on the top of the temple. Back to the hotel for breakfast and rest. Free lunch (not included) After lunch, your private transfer will take you to the archaeological site of Yaxha. Because of its location next to the Laguna de Yaxha, the Maya controlled the river trade between the eastern lowlands and the Atlantic shores of Belize during the classic and post classic period. During your visit, you will listen to howler monkeys. You will enjoy the sunset from one of the temples of the site. After the visit we will be transfer you to Flores for accommodation.

Day 4

place Peten Itzae Lake – Kayaks Around Peten Itzae Lake

Breakfast at the hotel. A short walk to Lake Peten Itza, will prepare you to start kayaking on the lake and enjoy the view of this magical place. Arrival at the Chechenal beach. Free time in the beach to relax. Return to your hotel.
