Arrival Ushuaia, Airport pick-up & Pioneers night (D)

Upon arrival to Ushuaia, you will be picked up at the airport and transferred to your accommodation where you will have time to get settled in. At 06:00 pm, you will be picked up from the hotel to Ushuaia Blanca. Once arriving at the complex, you will be receiving a briefing about the safe driving and the land as you are going to explore the beautiful surroundings by quadricycles. Marvel at the incredible landscapes while you cross rivers and lush forests. Then, enjoy a short walk before returning to the quadricycles and getting to the cabin Ernesto Krund, a replica of the refuge of the first postman on the island. Listen to the story of this pioneer while you enjoy a glass of hot wine and a delicious dinner. You will then return to the complex.

HD Tierra del Fuego National Park

Pristine nature, silence, the sounds of flying birds, the clarity of water, native trees, local stories, a unique lunch at the End of the World and much more are the feelings you will experience in this impressive natural and historical monument during 4 hours. The adventure starts at the hotel, where the guide will pick you up to start your journey to the National Park. Once we get there, the “lengas” and “guindos” will surprise us along the road. We walk along an interpretive trail, accompanied by our great guides, who know the place and local history. From there we will go to Lake Roca - Errazuriz to appreciate its waters, the surrounding forest formed by specimens that exceed 300 years and the limits with Chile. In the vicinity is the Alakush Visitor Center, within which we will visit the interpretation room about fauna, flora and zoology of the place; and the exhibition on the human occupation of the Park (among them the Yamanas, Fuegian Pioneers and sawmills). Before continuing our adventure, we take time to relax, drink a hot chocolate or coffee and some sweets, surrounded by wonderful views. After the break, we are ready to continue connecting trails until we reach the end of National Route #3 in Lapataia Bay. Then we will stop at Ensenada Zaratiegui where we will find the most southern post office. After about 4 hours we will finish our adventure with the feeling of having been part of the history and the nature of our island.

Everything depends on the point of view, or the place where we put ourselves to enjoy not only the activity, but also the landscapes, sounds, moments we experience when we do it.

Therefore, we invite you to discover Escondido Lake from another perspective. Taking advantage of its excellent conditions for nautical sports and the long hours of light of the austral summer, we will enjoy the canoeing and go back to the means of transport of the ancestors of our island to discover the local customs and all its mysticism while we have fun and enjoy the rowing. Once we get out of the lake, a typical lamb awaits us at the stake and a good wine, the inevitable companion of the adventure we live!

We leave from the hotel, leaving the city 7 km. We will start walking along the Grande stream, we will cross it and begin the ascent through the magical Fuegian forest. Half way we observe how the peat landscapes begin to surround us. We will continue crossing the limit of vegetation where we await the imposing Témpanos Lagoon, the Vinciguerra Glacier and incredible ice caves. The guide will assist us wearing the crampons to transit the glacier. In order to recharge energy, we stop for lunch: a warm gourmet menu. Then we take photos and start the journey back.

Sail the Beagle Channel & visit Almanza village (B/L)

After breakfast, you will be picked up at 09:00 am. You will cross a valley of glacial origin and head to Brown Bay where you will take off on a boat to the Beagle Channel. Marvel at the breathtaking landscapes while you cross the Guarani Pass and admire the abundant wildlife such as sea lions, rock shags and Magellan penguins. Onshore, you will meet a local family and. enjoy a lunch made with fresh fish and seafood from the waters of the Beagle Channel. You will get the chance to learn about the way of living of the inhabitants of the village Almanza. You will then continue your way and hike to the beautiful waterfall of the Lasifashaj River. You will pass through meadows that were once used to breed the cattle for wool production. You will finally spot the most famous flag tree of Tierra del Fuego before returning to your accommodation.
